Hardwood Flooring Facilities

BreezeWood Hardwood Flooring has invested in a state-of-the art manufacturing facility that includes a fully automated finishing line to accommodate our extensive portfolio of selections and ongoing demand for modern colors and textures. All wood stains, topcoats and sealers for our flooring are 100% VOC and formaldehyde free. In addition, because our facilities are located in close proximity to our sourcing partner and the forests they manage, the wood we use has one of the lowest carbon footprints in the industry.

Environmental Commitment

Since inception, it has been our guiding principle to become knowledgeable and effective stewards of Canadian forests. We want to ensure they remain healthy and productive for years to come. BreezeWood sources the majority of its raw materials from Townsend Lumber, a Canadian-owned company. Townsend Lumber has been a dedicated and ethical caretaker of this valuable natural resource for over six decades. The Townsend team is continually educated on correct harvesting procedures, forest management practices and environment principles. This means the wood used to produce your Canadian made hardwood floors has been legally sourced from responsibly managed forests.

Uniquely Designed Hardwood Floors

Working directly with consumers and designers alike allows us to be extremely responsive to new interests and emerging trends. Customers love our large showrooms featuring oversized samples from a huge variety of species (i.e., ash, hard maple, hickory, white oak, and walnut) that inspire a truer representation of our selections. We’ll also collaborate on custom orders to help you create your space.

Superior Quality & Value

We offer a unique level of confidence in the integrity of our products, as the wood we use is sourced from long-term suppliers who offer the highest level of quality hardwoods. Compelling value at competitive prices remains an ongoing mark of distinction for our flooring portfolio. The ability to purchase directly from the manufacturer appeals to many who desire even greater value for their investment in Canadian made hardwood floors.

Longevity & Durability

Our hardwood flooring finish uses state-of-the-art nanotechnology to deliver industry-leading durability that outlasts scuffs and spills while enhancing the natural beauty of the wood. The noticeable difference of this ultraviolet-dried finish sets our products apart from the competition whereas other finishes contain larger particles that tend to cloud or mask the natural beauty of the wood. We’re proud to say all of our finishes are designed in Canada to our quality and environmental standards.

Stewardship & Sustainability

Our commitment to customers, the hardwood flooring industry and the global not-for-profit Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) is that our selections have been made from wood that has been harvested and purchased according to government-enforced forestry regulations. BreezeWood offers FSC® -certified products as requested and the company has earned LEED-certification for its extremely low carbon footprint from having sourced through manufacturers all within a 500-mile radius. LEED is an internationally recognized green building certification system.

What is Sustainable Forestry & how does BreezeWood support Sustainable Forestry?

Sustainable forest management is a way of using and caring for forests so as to maintain their environmental, social and economic values and benefits over time. BreezeWood participates in sustainable forestry by strongly supporting local tree bylaws, educational programs and other initiatives. These are all part of a solution to maintain and enhance our natural environment and quality of life for us and for future generations.

Sustainable forest management helps Ontario’s forests by:

  • Keeping them healthy and productive, conserving biodiversity, enhancing or protecting wildlife habitat, watersheds and other values, and reducing the build-up of greenhouse gases (a major cause of climate change)
  • Supporting Ontario communities, providing recreation opportunities (hiking, hunting, fishing and more) and enabling a healthy living environment
  • Supporting a strong forest industry and providing people with jobs and forest products (lumber, paper, fuel, medicines, chemicals and more.)
