From the forest to your floor, our hardwood floors are made solely by us at every step of the process. We never ship our floors overseas for manufacturing or import timbers from overseas for our floors.
The Canadian hardwood lumber that we use to manufacture our flooring is milled and processed by our sister companies/sawmills, Townsend Lumber in Tillsonburg, and Kitchener Forest Products, located at 1580 Huron Road, on the outskirts of Kitchener in Petersburg (beside the New Dundee Golf Club). BreezeWood Hardwood Flooring is so ‘direct from the sawmill’ that our retail flooring showrooms are located on the same site as our sawmills.

The BreezeWood Hardwood Flooring store in Kitchener was started in 2005 as a retail showroom space that would allow our customers to visit our unique sawmill property location and see our beautiful hardwood flooring options for themselves.
Seventeen years after it opened, the BreezeWood Hardwood Flooring showroom in Kitchener received a bit of a makeover in 2022! Being located on the same property as the sawmill is definitely a cool experience for many of our customers but, the retail showroom building hadn’t been updated in many years and was starting to show its age.
Fun Fact: The Kitchener Forest Products sawmill has been in operation at its same location for over 100 years! Needless to say, some of the buildings, including our retail showroom building, at the sawmill have been around for quite some time.
So, we decided to embrace the existing industrial sawmill vibe and added a touch of rustic comfort to provide a welcoming experience for our customers. We added new signage to the exterior of the retail building to better direct our flooring customers to the showroom upon their arrival on site.
At the store’s front entrance, we added a beautiful covered porch, constructed of heavy timbers from our sawmills. Not only does it add rustic charm to our building but it also provides a welcome protection from the elements. Refurbished sidewalks, fresh new landscaping and a few coats of new paint completed the transformation of our buildings’ exterior.
Not to be left out, the interior of our showroom was also spruced up to improve the customer experience at our Kitchener location. Continuing to allow the industrial nature of our location to influence the renovation, new and brighter lighting fixtures, new furniture pieces, and an expanded flooring sample selection made a dramatic impact in this space.
